Members of Sheffield Landscape Trust and volunteers from Wood Lane Countryside Centre rolled up their sleeves and got stuck in to carry out improvements in the Shire Brook Valley.

They installed steps and safety fences on paths in the area, which is known by locals as Silkstone Ravine.

The work is part of improvements being supervised by the council’s environmental planning department.
