The crowds could not weight to see Yorkshire’s strongest men battle it out in a fiercely fought Highland Games competition.

The county’s tallest man and the region’s strongest man were amongst those who attended the Yorkshire Highland Games at Castle Park today (Sunday October 11).

The contestants, cheered on by the crowd, battled it out in the blazing sunshine across a series of eye-watering feats of strength.

The crowd were on the edge of their seats as contestants completed a caber toss, stone throw, two times vehicle pull, log press, tug of war and world famous atlas stones.
