Filming for a second series of cornershop sitcom Still Open All Hours is under way in Doncaster - and we’ve got some great shots from the set.

Our photographers captured some of these fantastic images as cameras rolled yesterday at the Beautique hairdressing salon on the corner of Lister Avenue and Scarth Avenue in Balby which has once more being transformed into Arkwright’s cluttered cornershop for two weeks of filming.

Comic legend Sir David Jason larked around in a fireman’s helmet for scenes of the new series, which follows on from the original, also starring the late Ronnie Barker, which ran between 1973 and 1985.

The show returned to screens with a Christmas special in 2013 and proved such a hit a full series was commissioned, which was shown earlier this year.

The second series is due to begin with a festive episode this Christmas.
