Chesterfield soldiers marked their return from the front line as they marched through the town centre.
The event attracted hundreds of people who lined the parade route.
Kiri is a clerk in the Adjutant’s General Corps and has just finished her first tour of Afghanistan, where she was based at Camp Bastion, organising flights for soldiers going back to the UK.
She said that she really enjoyed her first tour, in particular the fact she was doing something different each day while she was out there.
She added: “It meant an awful lot to me to be marching through my home town.
“I’d only just joined the regiment the last time the Lancers marched through Chesterfield in 2011 so I went along to watch, it was great to be taking part this time.
“Everyone was just proud to wear their uniform and have the opportunity to march.”
