MOUNTAIN rescuers helped a man who slipped and dislocated his shoulder walking in the Peak District.

The Buxton and Edale Teams Snatch Squad was called to the accident at Townhead Bridge, near Hope, at 11am on Saturday. Some Buxton Team members had been fundraising in nearby Castleton so were quickly on the scene.

The 40-year-old injured walker was placed on a sledge and taken to a nearby Derbyshire Air Ambulancebefore being flown to the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield.
