A CORRESPONDENT commented on Sky Insurance and other companies offering insurance posing as Sky.
I had an insurance with Sky Protection, paying £4.85 direct debit a month. I paid for two years without a claim and this year they wrote to tell me my premium was increasing to £9.95 - more than doubling. I rang to cancel and was immediately told that it could be reduced to £7.75 a month.
I’d already organised alternative insurance for less than that so I refused. I then had a call from Sky asking why I’d cancelled and the caller got very irate when I told him what I had arranged with another company.
Who cares if they aren’t connected to Sky, as long as they deliver when needed?
