A SOUTH Yorkshire charity volunteer’s fundraising efforts have received a boost after a firm of solicitors agreed to sponsor the cost of his skydiving jump.

Sean Kelly will jump out of a plane at 12,000ft on Sunday to raise money for Victim Support, where he is a volunteer.

The charity supports to victims of crime, including children.

Sean said: “I really enjoy my work at Victim Support and get so much back from working there and meeting so many people but I wanted to give a bit more. I’ve always liked adrenaline sports so a skydive seemed the perfect choice.”

He is being supported by Rotherham solicitors Oxley & Coward.

Sean said: “The support from Oxley & Coward is amazing. They have sponsored the cost of the skydive, so every penny I raise goes straight to the charity, which is vital for them to continue the valuable work they do.”

Peter Hedley, practice manager at Oxley & Coward Solicitors LLP, said. “Victim Support is a very worthwhile charity and the support they offer to victims of crime and witnesses is so valuable.

“Here at Oxley & Coward we see what the volunteers like Sean contribute firsthand but he really is going that extra mile, or should I say extra 12,000ft for the charity and the partners are pleased to be able to support his efforts.”
