Wendy Holmes had lived with a skip on her driveway for long enough when she contacted Action Desk for help.

She had hired a skip from Yorkshire Waste Care in July.

Within two days all the work had been done, the skip was full, and she contacted the company to request it was picked up.

Several phone calls and messages later, the skip was still sitting there and Wendy, frustrated because she wanted to get on with work on her drive, contacted Action Desk.

A spokesman for Yorkshire Waste Care, The Green Skip Company, said workers had tried to move the skip on several occasions but were unable to because parked cars were blocking it.

Following a call from Action Desk, they returned to Wendy’s home and removed the skip.
