Work has started to finally connect new street lights which were put up in February.
Sheffield Council highways contractor Amey has said the work is due to be completed over the coming week.
A spokeswoman for the company said: “There has been a delay in connecting some of the new lights caused by technical issues with the electricity cables.
“We are working closely with Northern Power Grid, which operates the electricity network, to resolve this as quickly as possible.
“Surfacing of any areas we need to leave around the street lights for the connection work will be completed as soon as they are connected. We won’t be digging up new surfacing.”
