Sisters in the pink for walk
SHEFFIELD sisters Jayne Saunders and Sharon Annable donned pink wigs and strode out for the charity Breast Cancer Campaign.
The sisters walked a step for every person diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK each year – that's 46,000 steps - in 46 hours and raised 200 in sponsorship from friends and family for their efforts.
Jayne, 42, from Ecclesall, and Sharon, 39, from Heeley, walked in memory of their aunt Rita Flower, from Micklebring, near Braithwell, who died from breast cancer in 1995, aged just 41, leaving three young children.
The duo counted their steps while walking around Sheffield City Centre and suburbs such as Ecclesall Road, Botanical Gardens, Endcliffe Park and Abbeydale Road.
Jayne, an information systems trainer and mum of two, said: "Breast cancer affects so many people.''
