Signed Owls shirts sold to raise cash for poppy appeal

Signed Sheffield Wednesday shirts have raised £5,545 for The Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.

Eighteen match-worn shirts, as well as 13 signed squad shirts, from Sheffield Wednesday’s 0-0 draw with Rotherham United on Saturday, November 8, were auctioned through Sky Bet’s #BidToRemember auction on eBay.

The most expensive Sheffield Wednesday shirt was striker Stevie May’s shirt, which fetched £280.

In total, the signed football shirts auction from all 24 Championship clubs raised £118,897 for the poppy appeal.
