Parson Cross residents will be able to access free workshops on computer and internet skills at Mount Tabor.
SilenceBreaker Media are running the Cross-Platform Computing project, which will see local residents able to access personalised and flexible learning through 14 two-and-a-half hour workshops at Mount Tabor, from October 21.
SilenceBreaker Media founder Jay Baker said: “Attendees of the course will be upskilled in computer, technology and internet basics, with the opportunity to learn about computer repair and maintenance, software, hardware and social media alongside different forms of technology such as tablets, laptops, mobile phones and Raspberry Pi’s.
“We are very thankful for the funding from Comic Relief Large Grant Fund, and UK Steel Enterprise Grassroots Endowment Fund for South Yorkshire, that is enabling us to respond to local demand for computer and internet assistance from this community centre.”
The class will run every Friday from 9am to 11.30am. Email firstname.lastname@example.org or contact SilenceBreaker Media, The Circle, 33 Rockingham Lane, for details.
