SHOPPERS at Meadowhall tested their sporting prowess against members of the Great Britain Women’s Indoor Volleyball Olympics Team.
The squad paid a visit to the Sheffield shopping centre for the event to promote their sport.
A ‘Spike o’ Meter’ was installed at the entrance to The Oasis Food Court, giving shoppers the opportunity to pit themselves against professional players to see how fast they could spike a volleyball.
GB Team members were there to meet the public for more than three hours.
A Meadowhall spokeswoman said: “The event was held in conjunction with Volleyball England which is running a campaign to get more adults participating.
“The GB Women’s Indoor team is based in Sheffield and will play international matches in the city at the end of the month and later this summer.”
