A couple have been caught having sex in broad daylight in Doncaster town centre - just yards from where hundreds of young students were in classes.

The shocking clip shows a dark haired man and a blonde haired woman romping totally naked on a patch of grass not far from Doncaster College yesterday.

The couple stripped off for the sex session behind the Batley's Cash and Carry depot on Chappell Drive - and were filmed by an amazed onlooker who captured the sordid scenes on his mobile phone from behind a fence.

In the 90 second video, which the Free Press has seen but is choosing not to publish it as it is too graphic, the man can be seen on top of the woman as they romp in a patch of grassland behind a metal fence.

During the clip, the woman, who is laid on her back, can be seen puffing on a cigarette during intercourse before discarding the fag end into the undergrowth.

The scene, which was recorded yesterday as Doncaster baked in scorching temperatures, was filmed just a short distance from Doncaster College where students would have been in lectures.

The man who filmed the clip and who wishes to remain anonymous said: "Only in Doncaster."

The romp took place a short distance from nearby railway lines where rail passengers may have been able to catch a glimpse of the pair and is only a few minutes walk from the town's market place and a busy car park used by hundreds of shoppers, commuters and office workers.

The full clip is freely available to view on various Doncaster related Facebook groups.

The sex video comes weeks just after a photo of man groping a woman's bottom outside a Doncaster taxi office went viral on social media. Shortly afterwards, another photo of a woman performing a sex act on a man in Bower's Fold was also widely circulated on Facebook.

Last September, South Yorkshire Police announced it was stepping up efforts to prosecute people committing acts of public indecency in Doncaster.

The warning came after figures revealed Doncaster police had received a total of 48 complaints of public indecency since 2010.

The figures, obtained under a Freedom of Information request, showed that in addition, 17 people had also been charged with offences of public indecency, which is defined as acts of nudity or sexual activity in view of the public.

Commenting on the figures last September, Detective Inspector Jade Brice, from Doncaster police, said: “Incidents of this nature can be highly distressing for victims and witnesses, so they are thoroughly investigated so that offenders can be quickly identified.

“In the last five years that the data period covers, we have charged 17 people in outraging public indecency offences, demonstrating our commitment to making Doncaster safer.”
