Hundreds of lanterns will brighten up the night sky when crowds flock to enjoy an annual Sheffieldcarnival.
The theme to 10th Sharrow Lantern Carnival, which starts at 7.30pm on Sunday, is space and creative residents have made out-of-this-world lanterns.
A parade of fire jugglers, musicians and entertainers will lead the way from Mount Pleasant Park at 8pm, heading for Sheffield General Cemetery. The festival continues until 10.30pm.
Luisa Golob, event organiser, said: “The carnival acts as a walking, dancing gallery through the streets. The exhibits are the lantern creations over which everyone has let their imaginations go.”
Final lantern workshops run on Saturday and Sunday afternoons at The Old Junior School, South View Road, Sharrow
The popular Sharrow Vale Market on Sharrow Vale Road also takes place on Sunday, from noon.
