A big-hearted Bluebell Wood supporter from Sheffield is warming up to run the Paris Marathon.
Hannah Grimshaw, aged 29, will don her running shoes on April 12 to support the Sheffield children’s hospice.
Hannah, from Crookes, said: “I have been running for the past three years and a full marathon is my biggest challenge yet.
“I wanted to run for a charity close to my heart that has benefited people that are close to me. Bluebell Wood came onto my radar when my friend had a poorly little boy who was supported by the team at the hospice.
“Bluebell Wood gave so much to him and his family and it is my honour to raise as much money as possible to give a little back to keep on helping a charity that does so much for many people in difficult situations.”
It costs £3m a year for Bluebell Wood to continue its work caring for over 200 children both in the hospice and the community.
Fundraiser Gail Parkin said: “We would encourage as many people as possible to follow in Hannah’s footsteps and pull out those running shoes to support Bluebell Wood. Every penny raised really does count and makes a positive difference.”
