Sheffield Wednesday have pulled off a major coup just hours before tonight's clash with Premier League giants Arsenal by capturing Norwich City striker Gary Hooper.
The 27-year-old, who the Owls narrowly missed out on signing last month, has arrived on loan until January 17.
It is understood Wednesday have been in discussions with Norwich for several weeks over Hooper, who has recently recovered from an ankle injury.
The former Scunthorpe United player has made 70 appearances for Norwich since moving from Celtic in 2013, hitting 20 goals.
In a three-year spell at Parkhead, Hooper notched 63 goals from just 90 league starts, which led to a £5m move to Carrow Road in the summer of 2013.
Hooper, who has netted 18 times in 38 starts, links up with fellow Norwich player Michael Turner and will wear squad number 14.
