And the boozy Owls fans were certainly in a mood to celebrate, even before Saturday's 2-1 win at Nottingham Forest which kept the Hillsborough side firmly in the promotion hunt to the Premier League.

The tab reveals that the group, thought to have been made up of 14 drinkers, downed scores of pints of beer, cider and more than 60 Jagerbombs before heading off to see the Owls' win at the City Ground.

The bill - for an eye-watering total of £634.91 - included five four pint jugs of Amstel beer, 61 "Big" Jagerbombs - alone worth more than £300 - as well as pints of John Smiths' bitter, Strongbow cider and Brooklyn Ale.

But the group appear to have exited the bar almost 90 minutes before kick-off, with the time of the bill 1.34pm - fuelling speculation that the gang may have headed elsewhere for even more pre-match beers.

The picture of the tab was shared on the Football Away Days Twitter account with the message:" A Sheffield Wednesday fans bill at Hooters in Nottingham today," along with a "crying with laughter" emoji and has been retweeted more than 850 times and "liked" more than 1,000 times.

The pub has long been popular with visiting football fans, largely due to its waiting staff consist of attractive young women, usually referred to as "Hooter Girls", who wear revealing outfits, exposing their cleavage.
