HUNDREDS of people have donated thousands of pounds in memory of a University of Sheffield graduate who died after competing in the Brighton Marathon.
Donations to Sam Harper Brighouse’s Just Giving charity page have soared since news of his death on Sunday.
The 23-year-old had moved to London, but lived in Sheffield until last year when he earned a biology degree.
Sam had aimed to raise £500 for Arms Around The Child UK, which supports children suffering from Aids and HIV in India and Africa.
Last night 479 donations had helped to swell his total so far to £6,145.
