A GROUP of Sheffield United’s loyal fans had a night to remember at an anniversary party.

About 75 members of the Sheffield United Disabled Supporters Club gathered at Brunswick Gardens Retirement Village, Woodhouse, where they were joined by a host of club dignitaries to celebrate the club’s 15th anniversary.

Guests included Blades manager Danny Wilson, chairman David Green and club legend Tony Currie.

During the evening, Mr Wilson presented Janet Ireland, SUDS secretary, with a commemorative plaque.

Janet said: “It was such a wonderful surprise and meant so much to me, especially as the plaque was presented to me by Danny.”
