A Sheffield teenager has been named one of the best young drivers in the country – months before he can even take his test – after entering a national competition.

Aaron Robinson, aged 16, from Aston, took part in the 2014 Young Driver Challenge, run by one of the UK’s largest providers of under-17 driving tuition.

Open to 11 to 16-year-olds, entrants were judged on a series of driving skills and manoeuvres, and also had to complete the Goodyear Driving Academy course.

Aaron, who attends Aston Academy, is one of 40 finalists picked from more than 350 entrants who will compete in the national final of the competition this Saturday.
