IT’S normally water that comes in gallons down at Ponds Forge.

But in March next year the famous swimming venue will be home to lagers, porters, IPAs, stouts in keg, cask and bottle for the BeerX event.

The event, from March 13 to 16 , will be hosted by the Society of Independent Brewers.

New to BeerX is a three-day Festival of Beer, at which SIBA’s 550-plus member brewers will have the opportunity to sell their beers to drinkers wishing to experiences the full range of beers being brewed in the UK.

BeerX will be the first time SIBA brewers from all corners of the country will have brought their beers together under one roof.

SIBA chief executive Julian Grocock said: “BeerX will be a big, bold event that showcases British beer in a way that hasn’t been seen before. It will be unique in its appeal to an audience ranging from drinks industry veterans to novice beer drinkers.”
