Why don’t you give your love for Christmas?

That is the message from a team of charity fundraisers at Sheffield University, who have put together a fabulously festive video for a great cause.

Journalism student Eden Wilson and a small team of volunteers have filmed the people of Sheffield singing along to Wizzard’s Christmas classic ‘I wish it could be Christmas every day’.

The film aims to raise awareness of the Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity and encourages viewers to make a donation for the children who are spending Christmas in hospital.

Eden, aged 19, who lives in Crookesmoor, Sheffield said: “The hospital is right next to our Students’ Union so it just made sense.

“We filmed in Sheffield morning and night for three days last week in the blistering wind and hail.

“I was worried people wouldn’t be up for it, because it was so cold and it can be quite intimidating in front of a camera.

“However, there were mothers, elderly people, men teenagers – the whole of Sheffield got together and it was really heartwarming.”
