A Sheffield student has scooped a top design honour by being chosen to create a new logo for a British sporting event.
Matt Crowder, aged 19, of Killamarsh, beat his fellow youngsters at Norton College, who were tasked with creating a new Westfield Health British Transplant Games logo.
The annual games, which highlight the importance of organ donation, will see donors and those who have had transplant operations take part in a range of sports.
Sponsors Westfield Health chose Matt’s design to form part of a major rebrand of this year’s event which will be held in Bolton in August.
Matt got the chance to work with a design company, Origin Creative, to finalise the image. Second-placed Jacqui Ford also won the chance to work with Origin for the day to develop her design skills.
Matt said: “It’s been a great opportunity to work alongside Origin to develop my design and I’m so grateful for the experience.
“The games is a fantastic event which raises awareness around the importance of organ donation.
“I’m really proud to say that my logo design will form part of the new look for the Games and look forward to seeing it being used.”
