A group of staff at a Sheffield firm held an ‘end of summer extravaganza’, raising £1,500 in the process.

Translators working at SDL Sheffield put on the event at Holden Hall in Norfolk Row to raise cash for the St Wilfrid’s Centre.

They sold food as well as jewellery and jumble, pulling in £1,556 for the centre which works with vulnerable and homeless people from its base in Queens Road.

On September 25, the SDL’s own band, The Fuzzy Matches, will play at The Old Queen’s Head in Pond Hill.
