GIRLS at Sheffield High School took part in an international tale-telling event, sharing their creative writing skills with youngsters far and wide.
Six authors wrote opening paragraphs for the Writepath International Connections contest which were then circulated to schools from Kuala Lumpur to New Orleans.
Each school took it in turns to write the next section of the story with only an hour to finish their contribution to keep the action moving.
The High School team were in the middle of the six school sequence, and kept the story unfolding for two weeks.
Three other schools from around the UK also took part in the fun.
Several of the girls also wrote blogs about the experience, or made their own creative additions to the story.
Librarian Patricia Oyston said: “At the end of the contest each school voted for their favourite additions to the stories, and prizes and trophies were then awarded.”
