Pupils from a Sheffield primary school are getting their hands dirty helping out at a community allotment plot run by the National Trust.
Youngsters from Lydgate Infant School, Crosspool, have planted potatoes and onions and have found out about life on the allotment on Hagg Lane.
The crops will eventually be used in their school kitchen.
The visits to the allotment are part of a longer term partnership with the school which will see the National Trust Peak District Team going to help the children with their school garden and reciprocal visits for the children to the kitchen garden at Longshaw.
Volunteers able to help at the allotment should email firstname.lastname@example.org
