Sheffield's 'most luxurious' care home opens - with chauffeur-driven Mercedes for residents

A new private residential home has opened in Crosspool - with residents being offered the chance to use facilities including a home cinema, luxury spa, hair salon, piano bar and gym.

For the weekly fee, which starts from £950, residents even get access to a chauffeur-driven Mercedes to take them into town.

The Porterbrook on Tapton Crescent Lane has created 50 jobs.

General Manager Daphney Nobelle said: “Our ethos is to provide a luxury lifestyle and the highest possible quality of life to each and every one of our residents.

"We certainly can’t see there being any other care home of this type in the whole of Sheffield that is as luxurious as The Porterbrook.

“The team and I are very excited to be able to open the doors to the public.

"We’ve all worked really hard to reach this stage."
