TRICK or treat? Well it’s certainly the latter with this little lady.
Introducing Toffee - a true sweetie who is hoping to win a place in your heart and your home.
She’s currently being cared for at the RSPCA Animal Shelter in Attercliffe.
Animal care manager Tony Benham said: “Toffee is a dinky little girl, only about one year and four months old.
Her coat is a stunning dark toffee colour with a cheery white vest so she looks like she’s dressed for an autumn dinner date - which is just as well as she came to us as a cruelty case dog who was slightly underweight at the time.
“A nice little Staffordshire, who is small in size, you can almost see the smile on her face.
“She’s a very charming, compact little dog, who has no known health issues.
“We feel that she would make a great doggy companion once she’s had chance to settle in to her new home.
“A smallish dog, this little lady loves playing with her toys, rolling in the autumn leaves and she loves relatively long walks. She needs about two lots of thirty minute walks a day – which is also a good motivator and length of time for people to get a bit of exercise themselves.”
Toffee interacts very well with people once she has got over her initial, short spells of shyness.
But it’s her soft nature that makes her such a pleasant dog to be around – she isn’t overly demanding, but instead she gently waits to assess the world and the people around her, Tony added.
RSPCA Sheffield Branch is open every day except Wednesday from 12.30pm until 3.30pm and can be contacted on 0114 289 8050. The centre is also looking for foster homes.
