Sheffield golden girl Jessica Ennis-Hill is preparing to compete for the first time in two years since giving birth.
The 29-year-old, from Dore, is to compete in the 100m hurdles at the Great CityGames in Manchester on May 9.
Her race will, be held on Deansgate in the city centre
The London Olympic heptathlon champion said: “I’m really looking forward to making my competitive return. The atmosphere in Manchester is always amazing there.
“Street athletics is a lot of fun because you are really close to the fans.”
Jessica, who gave birth to her son, Reggie, in July, 2014, last competed in the Anniversary Games in London in July 2013, when she finished fourth in the 100m hurdles.
A crowd of 25,000 is expected to see her much-anticipated return.
