Sheffield’s doormen get the seal of approval

South Yorkshire Police and the Security Industry Authority carried out an inspection on 25 doormen across nine of the city’s biggest bars and clubs.

All were found to be working legally and held valid licences.

Nigel Davies, from the SIA, said: “Results show that individuals working in the private security industry are aware of their responsibility to be licensed.”
