Runners took on a 10k challenge in memory of a beloved friend and colleague.

The 21-strong team completed Sheffield’s popular TenTenTen event through Endcliffe Park in October to raise cash for the Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity.

They took part following the death of Tim Richardson, who worked at the University of Sheffield and lost his cancer battle in 2013.

Tim set up his own charity - Inspiration for Life - during his illness, to raise funds for various cancer charities.

His friends have now raised over £7,933.50 for Weston Park Hospital to say thanks for the care Tim received.
