PARK Hill flats in Sheffield have won a prestigious national award for regeneration work.

The scheme beat competition from around the country to be named best conversion, restoration or refurbishment at The Sunday Times British home awards 2012.

The honour was presented at a London a ceremony.

Tom Bloxham, chairman of Urban Splash, which is redeveloping Park Hill, said: “This is great news for Sheffield. I am proud to receive this award.

“Park Hill is a project that has required bravery, creativity and tenacity.”
