Sheffield residents flee their home after early morning caravan fire sets their house ablaze

Residents were forced to flee their home in the early hours this morning after a caravan fire spread to the property.

Firefighters were called to the property on Doe Royd Crescent in Parsons Cross at around 2am after a caravan outside the property was set alight.

All residents inside the house managed to escape to safety without suffering any injuries after the blaze spread to their property.

Dramatic pictures have revealed the scale of the damage, with the front of the home burnt out and all three front-facing windows smashed.

Police were also called to the scene and have remained at the property throughout the night.

A police cordon has been put up outside the house and officers remain outside the property.

South Yorkshire Police has been approached for a comment.
