The landlord of a Sheffield pub is holding a night of fundraising to raise cash for this month’s Movember appeal – and he’s appealing for a little extra help to make the night a success.
Gareth Williams, who runs the Union Hotel in Nether Edge along with wife Sarah, is holding a raffle and auction on November 30 from 7pm, and has invited customers to attend in fancy dress.
The Movember appeal encourages men to grow moustaches and collect money for prostate and testicular cancer charities.
Gareth – who will be dressing as Ghandi on the night – said: “We’ve got some good prizes but we seem to rely on the same people every year – it’d be nice to spread the word a bit more this year.”
Gareth and Sarah have raised around £20,000 for charity since he was treated for testicular cancer.
