Sheffield Peregrine falcon eggs set to hatch

Have your say

Young peregrine falcons could soon be soaring over Sheffield as four eggs in a city centre nest are on the verge of hatching.

Peregrines successfully bred for the first time in the city in 2012 after a nest platform was erected on the side of Sheffield University’s St George’s Church lecture theatre, off Broad Lane.

Another four eggs laid in late March are due to hatch any day now.
