A FAMILY of a little boy born 10 weeks prematurely are putting on their walking boots for Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
Rebecca and James Haigh are joining the Three Dams walk in the Peak District on October 7, to raise money for the hospital charity.
Their son Jakob was born two months early last November, and spent six weeks in intensive care at the hospital with a lung problem.
Rebecca, 28, said: “We saw humanity at its absolute best through the work of the doctors and nurses.
“It was like an out of body experience but I always felt he was in the best hands.”
