A Sheffield murder trial which was due to get underway in Teeside has been adjourned until next year.

Shaun Richard Wainwright, aged 45, had been due to stand trial this week for the murder of Simon Holdsworth, Teeside Crown Court, but the case was adjourned for legal reasons.

Wainwright, of Dagnam Road, Arbourthorne, Sheffield, denies murdering 36-year-old Simon.

Mr Holdsworth, of Westfield Avenue, Hackenthorpe, was discovered in a field next to Rainbow Forge Primary School, off Birley Spa Lane, Hackenthorpe, last December 17.

A post mortem examination revealed he died from head injuries.

At the time he worked at FBS Prestige in Intake.

The trial will take place next year.
