This made Sheffield the warmest place across the country and residents can expect similar temperatures again today.

With Britain set for a mini-heatwave next week, Sheffield is already preparing for the sun with temperatures expected to reach 20C degrees again today.

According to the Met Office, Sheffield will enjoy beaming sunshine until midday before cloudy intervals set in later in the day.

However, this won't stop temperatures from reaching up to 20C before dipping down to 17C over the weekend.

The Sun report that the UK will be hotter than Ibiza next Wednesday as Britain is set to reach 25C, just ahead of the party island which should reach 24C.
