Sheffield mum stitches together plans for crochet workshops

A Sheffield mum of twins has set up a business teaching others about crochet.

Sally Steel-Jones, aged 41, of Chapeltown, established the Crochet Café to meet refreshed demand for creativity and making things.

It takes place in Sheffield on Mondays from 10.30am to noon at Eten, York Street.

Sally, who is mum to five-year-old twins and a teenage daughter, already runs a successful online business, The Nose Warmer Company.

She said: “I started crocheting nose warmers and selling them online five years ago. Now I have an international client base and a design registered product.

“Crochet Café came about as a natural progression – I love selling online and started to write my own crochet patterns to sell on the internet and that led to enquiries about crochet lessons.”
