SHEFFIELD MP Clive Betts has met bosses at a firm which has transferred work from a Sheffield engineering company, putting jobs at risk.
Mr Betts, who represents Sheffield South East, travelled to Daventry to meet management at Cummins Engines.
The company has transferred orders for crankshafts it used to place with Blackburn-based Bifrangi to suppliers abroad.
Mr Betts said he had been given feedback about the reasons for the change and would now be seeking to meet with Bifrangi managers to raise the matters.
Bifrangi has issued a notice to the Government that it could make up to 50 workers redundant after losing the work.
