RULES on road safety were revealed by a Sheffield MP on a visit to a primary school in her constituency.
Meg Munn, MP for Sheffield Heeley, took part in an assembly at Mundella Primary School, Norton Lees.
The visit was arranged by insurance company RSA, which is backing an ongoing road safety campaign Fit to Drive, which highlights the dangers of driving with poor eyesight.
Meg said: “On an annual basis, about 20,000 children are injured in road accidents, with over 2,400 killed or seriously injured. It is vital that we do all we can to help reduce these figures and make both our roads and our communities as safe as possible.”
Headteacher Helen Bush said: “We are delighted to be working with RSA in raising road safety awareness among children.”
