A SHEFFIELD community group aimed to inspire the next generation of sporting superstars with its own mini Olympic Games.
Zest for Sport, in Upperthorpe, gave youngsters the chance to try their hand at a number of sports ranging from boxing to basketball.
The children waved handmade flags at their own opening and closing ceremonies.
Janet Skirrow, chief executive of Zest said she wanted to build on the momentum of Team GB’s Olympic successes.
“All children, no matter what their background should have the opportunity to get involved in sport.”
