THESE are the faces of three yobs being hunted by police after a man was knocked out in Sheffield city centre.

The 44-year-old was approached by three teenage boys on Fargate at around 10.35pm.

Words were exchanged between them before he was punched him in the face and fell to the ground unconscious.

He was taken to hospital with a broken jaw and ankle, while the attackers fled towards the Town Hall.

Police have released CCTV images of the trio wanted in connection with the June 27 assault.

One suspect was mixed race, possibly Asian, and of average build and height.

He wore light blue jeans, white trainers, a long-sleeved white top with a dark T-shirt over it and a dark, flat hat.

A second was white, of average build and height.

He was wearing grey joggers, a navy Adidas top with light blue stripes, blue and black trainers with a white Nike logo and a dark baseball cap, with a lighter-peak.

The third male was mixed race and stocky. He wore a grey zipped top, red T-shirt, light blue jeans, white trainers and a black cap.

Witnesses are asked to call police on 101, quoting incident number 1351 of June 27.
