THEY are on their way to Lille – and it will be football all the way for these lads.

Sheffield Wednesday star Michail Antonio teamed up with Scott Johnston, Andrew Gibney, Lewis Skinner and Chris Mayer and Nick Crookes during a visit to Hillsborough.

It was their first stop on a walk which started at football grounds in Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster, Scunthorpe and Hull before they caught a ferry to France to visit stadiums in Belgium and France, until they reach the city of Lille.

They are raising money for the MS Society because Andrew’s father-in-law Richard Aisthope is a sufferer. They hope to arrive at their destination by Thursday.

Andrew, aged 31, of Walkley, said: “It’s been hard work and Scott, who is a type one diabetic, has had to take a day off on doctor’s advice after he got a massive blister on his foot.”

“I am a big fan of Lille after I first started following them on the internet about nine years ago. I now go across as often as I can and I write articles for my blog on Lille and French football.”
