Youngsters at a Sheffield table tennis club had a champion time when two special visitors came to call.

Players at the Albert Club in Darnall welcomed top players Will Bayley and Jack Hunter-Spivey to a junior coaching day.

Both are world class Paralympic players and Jack showed the children the medals he had won in China and at London 2012.

Will meanwhile is Para class 7 world table tennis champion.

Will said: “We’re delighted that the Albert Club works so hard to promote disability table tennis.

“The club recently hosted the Ping Parlour in the old Poundland store on The Moor and so we know they are keen to get the younger generation involved in table tennis.”

Organiser Shaun Alvey said the club was very proud of its links with Will and Jack and of its work to showcase disability sport.

“We have just added another success to the club’s honours list as our former junior club member Megan Shackleton has become world junior wheelchair champion at the age of 15,” he added.
