You have your say on the state of Sheffield’s pavements.

AMANDA CARR

“There is still a lot of ice on Standish Drive and Standish Road but someone has padlocked the grit bin at the top of the drive, obviously they believe it’s their own personal grit bin.”

SHEILA HOUSLEY

“I’ve not been out for three days. I have a motability car and can’t get down the ramp outside my house because of the ice. It is disgusting and the council don’t want to know.”

CHRIS FRANCE

“If everybody stuck together and got a shovel and just cleared a bit of the ice on their front then the paths would be clear. It is pure laziness and expecting everything to be done for them.”

NICKY STEELS

“S14 is a joke as well. Taking the kids to school is a nightmare – no grit bin in sight either.”

JULIE GRAY

“I always clear the path but on the school route down near Guildford Grange it has been horrendous.
“It is a hill that is just ice. My grandson who is completely blind has slipped and it is very hard to get to school with him and three other children.
“I was told they do not grit footpaths, and there is no grit bin either.”

DAVID BULL

“I deliver shopping for Ocado and for me it’s absolutely horrendous.”

“It’s really making my job difficult and if I do injure myself I’ll be putting in a claim against Sheffield Council.”

MO KHAN

“Sheffield Council asked residents to help in their communities to clear the snow but how can they help when they removed all the grit bins?”

ADRIAN ROBINSON

“We have a grit bin and we all clear together. Nurses, firemen, police and doctors live on the road.
“We know how quickly it can be done and it really gets our goat, when doing our relevant jobs, how many people do nothing.”

DAVID FOREST

“Our paths are horrendous until it thaws out.
“The council will need to provide ice skates and lessons if they don’t provide more grit bins near us!
Sorry, I mean provide grit bins because we’ve not got one.”

BAZ AVEYARD

“Lodge Moor is terrible – the grit bin went on our road! Pavements are at a treacherous stage now.
“It is severely impeding my marathon training.”
