Humphrey the hound looks a bit down in the dumps because he wants someone to love and to find a forever home.
The two-year-old black and brindle shar pei crossbreed is being cared for at the RSPCA Sheffield branch but yearns for a new home.
RSPCA Sheffield branch animal care manager Tony Benham said: “Humphrey is a fabulous fellow who is on the lookout for a loving owner.
“He was originally brought to us by an inspector and he was in a sorry condition.
“He was suffering from a condition called entropion where his eyelashes curled inwards and rubbed on his eyeballs, causing a lot of pain and soreness.
“He’s now had surgery to rectify the problem and he is much more comfortable, happy and healed, and he quite literally has a brighter outlook.
“He’s full of the joys of life, friendly, affectionate with people, and enjoys his playtime and food.”
Staff at the RSPCA branch say Humphrey would be a good choice for first time dog owners and just needs a little bit of extra training.
