Sheffield Green Spaces Forum loves cities parks

A series of picnic events, to celebrate National Love Parks Weeks, will be held at parks across Sheffield.

The events, organised by Sheffield Green Spaces Forum, will celebrate the 10th anniversary of Love Parks - a year round celebration of parks and open spaces - with ten days deedicated to all things wonderful about your local parks.

A spokesman from Sheffield Green Spaces Forum said: “The trees are green, the bees are buzzing and the summer is officially here. What better way to enjoy this time of year than getting out into your local park and gardens with your friends and family!

“Whether you want to picnic alone, with your teddy bears, as part of a group, or at an organised event, get your hampers packed this National Love Parks Weeks.

“If you are a big group and want to let us know that you’ll be there, please do drop us an email or call us.

“Bring a blanket, some tasty treats and enjoy some fun and friendly time outside. Send us a photo of you on the day and we will upload it to our website to show off the energy of the people of Sheffield.

“We can’t wait to see you there to celebrate Love Parks week, Sheffield Green Spaces Forum and primarily your local park or green space. Happy picnicking!”
