Fire-breathing performers are to spice up a Sheffield food market this weekend.

Peddler Night Market is to bring the heat back to Arundel Street when it returns on Friday July 3 and Saturday July 4.

The SteelCats - a group of fire-breathing, angle grinding dancers and aerial artists from Leeds - will perform in addition to the usual street food traders, bars, live music and art on offer.

Another new attraction to the bi-monthly event - which usually draws in thousands of people - is Shoot the Bull, creators of restaurant quality street food whose chef has worked in Michelin restaurants.

A Peddler organiser said: “A fresh blend of top notch traders will be dishing out tasty treats, including Cantonese dim sum, pizza frizza and smokey BBQ flavours perfect for a chilled out summer weekend.

“You might say what is better than sitting in the sun with a nice cold craft beer.

“ But how about a spot of livemusic or watching the fire-breathing SteelCats perform while you cool down with an artisan ice-cream from The Cowlick Creamery?”

Peddler begins at 5pm on Friday and runs until 10.30pm. On Saturday, July 5, it will begin at 2pm and run until 10.30pm.

Entry is free.
